Hi! This blog post will talk about what my intentions are with the project's future.
The Saint Patrick's Community Update was a project that begun in December of 2023 and was completed in February of 2024, It came out to significant workshop success despite a rough start for the cosmetic. It reached up to 2000 upvotes combined and over 3000 unique visits combined on all three (including the collection) workshop pages. The plan was to add a new all class melee weapon, a map, a cosmetic, and a new noisemaker. These were picked for mainly trying to add as much unique content in with very limited months to work on it.
With the release of the Tropic Crisis Project I have went back to reflect on my own project. The project caused me to get serious burn out from TF2 and I am still slowly recovering from it. If I am to go forward with it, im absolutely going to start it far earlier than I did initially back in December. Currently I am thinking about starting two other projects: Valentines Pack, and Art Deco Pack. These would generally involve the same things as the Saint Patrick Update but slightly altered to give some kind of uniqueness to each thing, like packs that are already in the game.
I am interested in creating these updates, including making Saint Patrick's Update into a pack as a way for them to become more appealing to add so they can be more easily attached to an already existing update like smissmas or summer.
So with all of this in mind, I want to polish up the Saint Patrick's Update and potentially add content onto it which means i am more than happy to collaborate with people on getting more content for this project - this isnt meant to be something overly serious, its meant to be a fun time whilst also appealing to Valves quality levels.
Obviously im not really expecting anything or anyone to make anything, but If you do make something I will support you till the very end.
What I will be doing until a later date is continue to recover from burnout, I am continually getting much better every week and you should hopefully start seeing some pretty interesting stuff soon!
